“Taiwan Host” bed and breakfast homestays are carefully selected by the Tourism Bureau from all of Taiwan's legally registered township and village homestays. They are run by people who are travel experts in their respective townships and villages. The B&Bs meet our five major service requirements of being hospitable, friendly, clean, hygienic, and safe. They display Taiwan's hospitality and warmth, as well as local culture. They will leave visitors and guests with warm memories of their stay there.
Four criteria for selecting “Taiwan Host” B&Bs. Taiwan's excellent hosts and hostesses are helping our island build quality B&Bs. Each B&B must pass the various cities' and counties' strict requirements. They also must pass the site inspection conducted by a member of the media, industry or academia who makes up the special inspection committee. Only after there is no disagreement about the B&Bs' eligibility will they be determined eligible by the “Taiwan Host Selection Committee.” Approved B&Bs all meet a certain standard in service and facilities quality. All of the B&Bs are confirmed to provide warm and friendly reception which give guests the feeling of being at home.
